At Petuna Aquaculture, the health and safety of our employees, customers and the communities in which we operate is paramount.
As the impacts of Coronavirus (COVID-19) rapidly develop, we are implementing, and constantly reviewing, comprehensive precautionary measures to minimise disruption to our operations and ensure we can continue to meet the supply needs of our customers and the community.
Our highest priority is the protection of our valued workforce across the organisation, with strict protocols in place to prevent infection, based on the latest advice from state and federal health authorities.
Petuna has the benefit of its entire operations being located in Tasmania, which now has some of the toughest border restrictions in the world.
The Tasmanian Government has deemed the aquaculture industry as an ‘essential service’ (food production), and as such is doing everything it can to ensure the continuity of the industry, including export to the mainland.
